As usual St Paul’s played a part in the annual Remembrance Day service at Sale Town Hall. As well as the Vicar who led the service others directly involved included the Choir, Michael, Rob, Frank and Donald. The slideshow below shows photos taken on the day.

On the morning of November 4th the Vicar and around 20 members of the congregation attended a Fire Safety Training course. As well as an in-depth coverage of the various types of fires and their causes, the types of Fire Extinguishers for particular circumstances were described. Some of these extinguishers were then demonstrated in the Church Hall car park as shown in the slideshow below.

Please note that the Sunday Evening service at St Paul’s on Oct 29th at 6:00pm has been cancelled because of the service to be held at 7:00pm at St John’s in Brooklands as detailed below.

St Paul’s are hoping to get a defibrillator for the Church Hall and have joined the Hand On Heart Project but require 1000 votes before Nov 21st.

On the weekend of Oct 8th and 9th St Paul’s held their Harvest Festival. On Saturday evening a Harvest Supper was well attended.

During the Sunday morning service we were joined by the Springfield School Choir and many harvest gifts were collected – including a large assortment of new socks – which will soon be distributed to those in need.

On Oct 5th the Men’s Society held their first meeting of the season which was a Farmhouse Supper. The photos below were taken during the evening.
