Tree Festival Weekend

St Paul’s held their second Tree Festival weekend on 8th-10th December with well over 500 visitors during the event. The numerous trees decorated by many local groups were a splendid background to the various activities that were held. These included two brass band concerts, an organ recital, story telling, crafting sessions and of course refreshments.

The slideshow below shows photos taken during Sunday afternoon and the Festival booklet describing the various trees can be read on the link below the slideshow.

Remembrance Sunday

For the first time in many years there was rain on Remembrance Sunday. This meant the procession from St Paul’s with the St Paul’s Choir and St Joseph’s Choir to the Sale War Memorial had to be done with umbrellas and outside coats instead of the usual robes. Revd Becky and Father Stephen led the service at the Town Hall steps and there was the usual large attendance.

The photos below were taken during the morning.

Christmas Tree Festival advanced notice

We are holding our Christmas Tree festival again this year and are hoping that local societies, organizations and businesses can get involved again. The details and booking forms can be found below.

Harvest at St Paul’s

The Harvest at St Paul’s was an All-age service with the Springfield School Choir performing special Harvest songs. The many harvest gifts that were brought to the service will be donated to the Mustard Tree and Trafford South Foodbank charities. During the service the Vicar detailed the problems being faced in Sri Lanka in the tea plantations there which she has personal knowledge of during her time in Sri Lanka. Collections were made during and after the service for the USPG Sri Lankan appeal.

The photos below show the displays both inside and outside Church.
