Following Rev. Barbara Sharp going to part time, midweek communion will now be taking place on a Thursday morning at 10am.

Saturdays

From 9:30am the church will be open to all for viewing and prayers for about 1 hour, giving time to meet the vicar to discuss services also such as weddings, funerals and baptisms. Then from 10:30 the church hall will be providing Charity Tea and Coffee Mornings.

St. Paul’s Church on Springfield Road in Sale, is preparing to throw open its doors on Saturday 9th September, 10am to 5pm as part of the National Heritage Open Day, a fascinating display, featuring some recently discovered old photographs, entitled “A walk down School Road” will take visitors on a journey down School Road from olden times to the present day. 
 
Highlights of the day also include guided tours of the Church Tower and for those who enjoy watching “Who Do You Think You Are” there will be a unique opportunity to view the Parish Registers.  
 
Victorian Afternoon Teas, delicious home-made cakes and sandwiches etc… with Harpist Alice Kirwan playing from 12:30 to 2:30pm, and a Barbeque on the south lawn from 12noon to 3pm. There will be performances from Sale Handbell ringers at 11am, Bollin Morris Men at 1:30pm and the Scout and Guide Brass Band at 2:30pm, St. Paul’s Community Choir at 3:30pm and Professional Storyteller Helen Stewart will spin yarns & weave tales for all… and a traditional Punch and Judy Show will entertain all the family, plus Sale’s most famous resident Professor James Prescott Joule – the Father of the International Unit of Energy – will be making an appearance and telling us about some of his most exciting experiments!!
