All Soul’s Day
On Sunday evening Oct 27th St Paul’s held the annual Service of Commemoration for All Soul’s Day. Entitled “In Loving Memory” it included the reading out of the names of the departed and the opportunity to lay flowers or light a candle at the Chancel steps. Refreshments were served in Church after the Service. The images below were taken at the service.


Coming Events
The posters below give details of event coming up at St Paul’s over the next few months begining on Oct 27th for the All Soul’s Day Service. The singing concert is on Sunday Nov 3rd from 2:00pm to 3:30pm.



Harvest Festival and Donald’s presentation
Our Harvest Festival took place on Sunday 6th October and we welcomed Springfield School choir who sang two songs. Harvest gifts were taken up to the altar and many other harvest gifts were displayed. Refreshments were served after the first part of the service and a short Communion service was held for those who wished to stay. The photos below were taken during the service.
During the service a presentation was made to Donald Brooks to mark his retirement from playing the organ at services. He has been doing this for almost 80 years.The photos below show him with Anne, Kevin and Harry after his presentation and with his gifts.

Harvest Festival
We are getting ready for celebrating Harvest this coming Sunday 6th Oct at 10am with our special guests Springfield School choir.
Please bring along food and toiletry donations for our local food-bank and the Mustard Tree project in Manchester.
If you prefer, there will be an opportunity to offer a monetary donation to Christian Aid’s Harvest of Hope project.
We are having a two-part service, beginning with a service of the word, which includes refreshments midway, and concluding with communion.
This service will be live-streamed

Happy Birthday Harry
After the Sunday morning service on Sept 22nd Harry cut a cake in the hall to celebrate his 90th.
He now joins the 90 Club in the choir, singing must be good for you.
