Advance Notice of Concert

Chester St Cecilia singers concert at St Pauls.

We will be hosting a concert by the diocesan St Cecilia Singers directed by Marc Murray on Saturday 10 March at 7:30pm. The concert will include a range of seasonal choral music for Ash Wednesday to Easter as well as organ music by performed by Marc. The concert is sponsored by the Manchester Organists Association and any proceeds will be shared between the MOA and St Pauls.  Please put this date in your diary and inform any friends who are interested in choral or organ music.

Carol Service

Our annual Carols by Candlelight was held on Sunday evening, Dec 17th.

After a full service of readings and carols mulled wine and mince pies were available in the church hall. As well as the organ, carols were accompanied with flutes, violins, cellos and piano.

Churches Together in SALE Crib

The blessing of the ‘Churches Together in Sale’ Crib outside Sale Town Hall took pleace earlier today (Friday 8th December).
 
Fr. Woolley, Parish Priest of St. Joseph’s Church, Sale gave the blessing and the Reverend John Hamilton read the lesson.
 
The excellent St. Joseph’s Primary School Choir lead the singing of traditional Christmas carols, with great gusto.

 

Christmas Decorations

The Church has been decorated with numerous Christmas trees, each depicting the activities of a Church group. These are in the side window alcoves.

The main Christmas tree has now been erected and the photos below show them in advance of the Toy Service on Dec 10th.
