Valentine’s Day at St Paul’s

On Monday 14th Feb St Paul’s will be celebrating St Valentine’s Day.

If you are passing please take a rose and a card.

Born Terni, Italy 226.  Died in Rome 270. Feast Day, 14thFebruary

Symbols include roses; Bishop with a rooster nearby.

Patron of engaged couples, happy marriages, love, beekeepers and those suffering from plague, epilepsy and fainting.

Men’s Society AGM

After almost two years of Covid related inactivity the Men’s Society finally held their AGM on Jan 27th. The committee were re-elected en-bloc and the meeting was followed with the traditional Hot-pot supper provided by Julie Corner. Michael also provided a selection of drinks and cheeses. The photos below were taken during the evening.

Donation to Mustard Tree

Eileen delivered a cheque and donations to Mustard Tree this morning(Jan 4th). The photo below shows Matt from Finance receiving the cheque and Debbie with one of the many bags of food from Fiona at One Stop Shop, North Parade, Sale via Jean, many thanks to them.
Mustard Tree are so very grateful to us.

The text below is taken from the Pew Sheet for Jan 2nd and explains how to give financial support to St Paul’s. We hope to have a more streamlined way of supporting the Church via the website soon.

The easiest way to give and enable us to budget and plan for the year is through standing order.
St Paul’s bank details are as follows and can be used too for one-off gifts and donations.
Alternatively you can give by using weekly giving envelopes which are available from Brian Kerridge. Please don’t forget to sign a gift aid form if you are a UK tax payer!
