Community Choir

The Community Choir meets every Friday afternoon in term-time, from 1.15pm-2.30pm in St Paul’s Church Hall.

We welcome singers of all abilities, whether you’ve got a pair of lungs on you that can match Andrea Bocelli, sing in the shower or prefer to tap or clap along.

You don’t need to book, simply turn up just before 1.30pm and pay a small donation towards running costs and take your seat. Carers are very welcome.

We have a short interval midway through with hot drinks and the opportunity for a chat. If you’re not very mobile, a drink will be brought to your seat.

Songs are varied from week to week featuring a variety of artists, from the musicals, to wartime classics, to the Beatles and Abba. The songs are projected onto a screen, so we do not need to hold printed materials or find page numbers.

The choir is run by volunteer musicians from St Paul’s and surrounding churches and we are very grateful for support from any local keyboard players who might be interested in joining the rota.

Our volunteers have undertaken Basic Safeguarding and Dementia Awareness training.
