Vicar’s Letter – Dec 2018

The slideshow below shows photos taken during Saturday and Sunday 10th-11th November. The Sale Remembers event on Saturday evening was a great success with many musical and spoken word items preceding an act of remembrance.
Guests included the Deputy Mayor and Mayoress of Trafford, Councillor Rob Chilton and Mrs Zoe Marshall, Sir Graham Brady MP and Lady Victoria Brady, Ms Felicity Goodey CBE DL and Mr John Marsh.
On Sunday our Choir took part in the Annual Service of Remembrance at the War Memorial in Sale and in the afternoon the Church and Hall were open for a There but Not There Installation and Great War exhibition.
The slideshow below uses photos taken on Remembrance Sunday by John Earnshaw of the Sale Photographic Society.
Coming soon – November 10th and 11th

We welcomed Springfield Road School Choir to our Harvest Festival service on Oct 7th and the photos below were taken on the day.
Also during the service Harry and Diane re-affirmed their wedding vows to celebrate their 50th wedding anniversary. In the Hall afterwards they cut a special cake.
After the service the harvest donations were distributed to the Mustard Tree and to South Trafford Food bank. The photos below shows our delivery to the two charities.

This Sunday, 30th September, at 7pm, the Chester Cathedral Nave Choir will be visiting St. Paul’s Parish Church, to perform Choral Evensong. This is an Ecumenical Service, part of the ‘Churches Together in Sale’ programme of quarterly fifth Sunday evening services.
The photo below was taken at the service.
