On Sunday 10th November due to ongoing work at the TownHall the usual procession to the Cenotaph started for all the uniformed attendees, the band and the choir outside St Paul’s.In previous years onle the Choir and congregation processed from St Pauls.
As the Vicar was still incapacitated Shemil led the Service at the Cenotaph, Yvonne S and Clive walked with the Churchwarden’s staffs and Donald gave the “they shal not grow old” speech.

On Sunday afternoon (Nov 3rd) St Paul’s hosted the Manchester Yinghua Choir. It was a fantastic event and the photos below were taken during the show.

On Sunday evening Oct 27th St Paul’s held the annual Service of Commemoration for All Soul’s Day. Entitled “In Loving Memory” it included the reading out of the names of the departed and the opportunity to lay flowers or light a candle at the Chancel steps. Refreshments were served in Church after the Service. The images below were taken at the service.


The posters below give details of event coming up at St Paul’s over the next few months begining on Oct 27th for the All Soul’s Day Service. The singing concert is on Sunday Nov 3rd from 2:00pm to 3:30pm.



Our Harvest Festival took place on Sunday 6th October and we welcomed Springfield School choir who sang two songs. Harvest gifts were taken up to the altar and many other harvest gifts were displayed. Refreshments were served after the first part of the service and a short Communion service was held for those who wished to stay. The photos below were taken during the service.
During the service a presentation was made to Donald Brooks to mark his retirement from playing the organ at services. He has been doing this for almost 80 years.The photos below show him with Anne, Kevin and Harry after his presentation and with his gifts.
