If you weren’t able to make it to Heritage Day why not take a look at this video made by Paul @Wickedacorn which includes a trip up the tower and the amazing view of Sale from the top. Paul came along to Heritage day and did some filming whilst he was with us. Paul has made quite a few videos on local history and stories from this area – take a look at his Youtube channel. Paul is also speaking at a men’s breakfast being held at St Martin’s Ashton on Mersey on Sat Oct 8th 2022.

We will begin to collect for Harvest over the next couple of Sundays-please bring along tinned goods on Sunday 2nd October and pasta, tea, coffee on the 9th October.
Anything else please bring to Harvest All Age Service on Sunday 16th October.
Springfield School Choir will be joining us to celebrate Harvest.
Donations will be split between Mustard Tree and Trafford South foodbank. We are also collecting items – tea/coffee/biscuits to make up small hampers for the elderly and those living on their own.

A special service of Commemoration and Thanksgiving for the Life of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II was held on Sunday 18th September at 6pm in St Paul’s in partnership with Trafford Council. There were over 150 in attendance.
Refreshments were provided by the Council afterwards in the Hall.

Following the sad news of the death of Queen Elizabeth II on Thursday it was decided to proceed with our annual Heritage Day. A special display on her Majesty’s Life and a Book of Condolence were added to the items in the Church. Organ music was played throughout the day with a special prayer read on the hour.
The usual Sale Brass Band, Bollin Morris, Sale Handbell Ringers, a Harpist, Parish Registers, Storytelling by Helen Stewart, Punch and Judy, a visit from “Dr JP Joule”, Victorian Afternoon Teas and Tower Tours were included.
