Carol Service

Our annual Carols by Candlelight was held on Sunday evening, Dec 17th.

After a full service of readings and carols mulled wine and mince pies were available in the church hall. As well as the organ, carols were accompanied with flutes, violins, cellos and piano.

Churches Together in SALE Crib

The blessing of the ‘Churches Together in Sale’ Crib outside Sale Town Hall took pleace earlier today (Friday 8th December).
 
Fr. Woolley, Parish Priest of St. Joseph’s Church, Sale gave the blessing and the Reverend John Hamilton read the lesson.
 
The excellent St. Joseph’s Primary School Choir lead the singing of traditional Christmas carols, with great gusto.

 

Christmas Decorations

The Church has been decorated with numerous Christmas trees, each depicting the activities of a Church group. These are in the side window alcoves.

The main Christmas tree has now been erected and the photos below show them in advance of the Toy Service on Dec 10th.

Remembrance Sunday

As usual St Paul’s played a part in the annual Remembrance Day service at Sale Town Hall. As well as the Vicar who led the service others directly involved included the Choir, Michael, Rob, Frank and Donald. The slideshow below shows photos taken on the day.

Fire Safety Training

On the morning of November 4th the Vicar and around 20 members of the congregation attended a Fire Safety Training course. As well as an in-depth coverage of the various types of fires and their causes, the types of Fire Extinguishers for particular circumstances were described. Some of these extinguishers were then demonstrated in the Church Hall car park as shown in the slideshow below.
