Message from the Vicar

Good morning, what a strange situation we find ourselves in. It is I think unprecedented in the Church of England to stop all church services, but that does not mean we stop being church. St. Paul’s will open at our usual service times for people to come in and quietly pray for our loved ones, our community, ourselves and especially for those who are sick and those who are working hard to keep things going, those who work in the health service, those who work in retail and in the service industries. If you cannot leave your house then join us by praying at home at our service times of Thursday morning at 10am, Sunday at 8.30am, 10 am, and 6 pm. I will try to post some prayers over then next few days which you might like to use and invite you to post prayers to share with others.  Also will you join us on Sunday evening by joining in the day of prayer the Archbishops of Canterbury and York  have called for by putting a lit candle in your window at 7pm to show your support. We will also try to give practical support to those who need it and are compiling a list of those who can help. If you can offer help please contact myself or Yvonne Kerridge so we can put you on the list of those we can call on.  With love and prayers , Rev Barbara
